flu vaccine details
Health Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne has announced details regarding this season’s flu vaccine. The vaccine arrived in Malta just last week and with double the amount ordered, we’re wondering exactly how the distribution will work.
Fearne has the answer. “From this Sunday 11 October, we will start giving out the influenza vaccine for free”. He also pointed out that the priority will first be given to the vulnerable, as well as children under the age of five, for the first three weeks during the month of October.
As of 1 November, it will then be offered to everyone, he added. Every resident of every village and town on the island will have access to the vaccine, during certain hours of the day.
