Waterpolo star shines in Montenegro Cup

Jake Muscat, Maltese waterpolo star, shone like a star for Jadran Herceg Novi in the opening stage of the Montenegro club, which was played earlier this week.

The player, who is in his second loan spell in the professional club that is based in Herceg Novi, Montenegro, from local team Neptunes, scored four goals as his club topped the standings, with maximum points following the opening three matches.

The team opened their commitments against Budva, which resulted in a 15-5 victory and Muscat managed to help himself to a brace. In this case, the team produced a strong, defensive display, which saw them surge into a six-goal lead and from then on, they never looked back as they went home to an 8-5 victory, with 18-year-old Jake Muscat scoring one goal there, too.

The second tournament of the competition will be taking place in Kotor, between 13 and 15 December, while the medal matches of the tournament are scheduled for 22 December in Podgorica.
