Multi-talented athlete Thomas Borg makes it to Paralympics after taking up Para athletics in 2020!

Thomas Borg is the second para athlete who will be representing Malta at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games

19 year old athlete Thomas Borg is the second confirmed para athlete who will be representing Malta and competing at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games in the para athletics T47 100m and 400m events.

The young athlete old was born with Dysmelia of his right forearm (Amelia) and has grown up in sport all his life. He opted for swimming after having played football for several years. The swimmer took up Para athletics in 2020, after sustaining a shoulder injury that ended his Para swimming career.

Borg took to social media to make this exciting announcement:

“Excited to announce that I will be forming part of the Maltese contingent in Tokyo for the 2020ne Paralympic Games! Bring it on!!  Thank you Malta Paralympic Committee for making this all possible

Yesterday, the committee announced its first para-athlete competing at Tokyo 2020, Vladyslava Kravchenko, who will be competing in the S5 para-swimming category.
