Maltese off-roader places second King Of Portugal
Off-road racing driver and member of the all-wheel drive club named Neville Ciantar is in the news again. Why, we hear you ask? He competed in this year’s edition of the King Of Portugal off-road event, and placed second!
The event took place last weekend, between the 14th and 17th of October and is considered to be, if not the toughest, one of the most challenging races in Europe.
What is the King Of Portugal?
The off-road event came to be back in 2013, as a result of a partnership between Clube NorteX4 and the organisation of the the biggest North American event, the 4X4 Extremo. One of the toughest and largest off-road races in the world, participants must go through a circuit in as little time as possible. It’s a test of everything, ranging from the drivers’ adaptability and calculation, as well as the vehicles, tires and transmissions.
This was not Neville Ciantar’s first rodeo. He first competed in 2017 and finished 5th and 6th in 2018. This time, however, he came in second place.
