Tonight, Wednesday 5 October, and Saturday 8 October, Valletta’s Spazju Kreattiv will present two screenings of Both Sides of the Blade, an unsettling new film examining the pressure placed on a marriage by the threat of infidelity

When an old flame threatens to disturb the happy ten-year relationship of Sara (Juliette Binoche) and Jean (Vincent Lindon), fidelity and trust are put under the spotlight in this new work by provocative French filmmaker Claire Denis.

Known for her stark and uncompromising style, Denis continues in this vein with this new film, presenting a bold yet nuanced account of entropy within a relationship. Featuring a critically acclaimed cast, with cinematography by industry legend Éric Gautier and music composed by Tindersticks frontman Stuart Staples, Both Sides of the Blade presents a fearless narrative richly brought to life.
