Malta’s first ever participation in European Artistic Crafts Days welcomes 60 local artisans this week

Malta is currently participating in the European Artistic Crafts Days (EACD), taking place till 2 April, with artisans opening the doors to their creative spaces and inviting people in to view their crafts coming to life.

This year’s theme, ‘Elevate the Everyday’, seeks to encourage people to explore the streets of Malta and Gozo and discover the beautiful pieces of craft that surround us, which are often overlooked.

Malta Crafts Foundation has created an interactive online map that provides information on the artisans’ locations around the Maltese islands as well as further insight into their creative work and products. As can be seen on the map, most artisans will be organising specific workshop sessions and demonstrations throughout the week, providing visitors with a holistic view, a hands-on experience of the craft, and the skill it requires.

Interested in a particular workshop? Contact details are provided on the map, so you can get in touch with the respective artisans directly.
