Carnival weekend is finally upon us, however, so is the Feast of St Paul’s Shipwreck! For those not in the know, the stars tend to align during the feast and bring on rough weather, almost in honour of the storm that brought St Paul to our island! 

Luckily, there are plenty of parties going on during Carnival to opt for, just in case it quite literally rains on the parade. If you’re planning on going up to Gozo for their famous Spontaneous Carnival, The Aurora will still be there providing shade and lots of amusement in spite of the predicted erratic weather. 

Located in Rabat (Victoria), The Aurora is the largest indoor venue in Gozo. The space is all decked out and prepared for Carnival weekend, offering shelter for anyone who wants to take part in the Carnival festivities without having to worry about their costume makeup dripping down their face. 

 The Aurora is also the official venue for all the Nadur Spontaneous Carnival afterparties, which include the G7 Friday Carnival event on Friday and District’s Arctic Disco on  Saturday. The weather calls for wind on Friday and Saturday and rain on Sunday, but it’s up to you if you’d rather tempt fate or not. If you decide not to, you can always let loose in the comfortable yet vibrant atmosphere of The Aurora on one of the country’s most anticipated weekends!
