Winners of Malta Carnival 2026 Announced

Malta Carnival 2026 proved to be an unforgettable and eventful long weekend, bringing colour, creativity and energy to the streets across the island. Thousands gathered to celebrate one of the country’s most anticipated cultural highlights, with triumphal floats, spectacular choreography, elaborate costumes and artistic installations once again taking centre stage.

Despite unsettled weather conditions throughout the weekend, participants and organisers showed remarkable resilience and commitment, ensuring that the celebrations continued safely and successfully. While the Carnival atmosphere remained vibrant, the persistent weather ultimately led to the difficult decision to cancel yesterday’s grand finale in the interest of public safety.

Nevertheless, Carnival 2026 will be remembered for its extraordinary talent, dedication and the unwavering spirit of the Carnival community. The level of craftsmanship displayed in this year’s competitions once again confirmed the strength and continued evolution of Malta’s Carnival tradition.

Festivals Malta, through the Carnival Organising Team, has officially announced the results of the competitive competitions held as part of the Malta Carnival 2026 programme.
