The Malta Book Festival 2021
The Malta Book Festival is back.
This November you’ll be able to enjoy events for adults and children for free, in person and streamed straight into your home. The cultural programme will be published in the coming weeks and includes a mix of book launches, readings, meetings with authors, poetry readings, and seminars featuring local and international publishers and authors.
For the first time the Festival will be taking place at the MFCC, Ta’ Qali, and will be making use of an expanded exhibition space for publishers, booksellers and NGOs, and activity areas for the numerous book presentations and discussions. With over 8,000 square metres of footage, book stands will be larger and corridors wider, thus allowing for a more comfortable book browsing and purchasing experience at the MFCC (as well as hassle-free parking). A special hybrid edition is aiming to allow the book-loving community to go back to book browsing and purchasing, and relive the spirit of inventiveness, exchange and creativity as every year.
Weekday mornings are dedicated to schoolchildren, introducing them to the magical and adventurous worlds of Malta’s best children’s authors, and ensuring a memorable experience with age-appropriate performances based on Terramaxka Prize winning works streamed straight to the classroom.
