Concert celebrating music from Gershwin to Queen
The Goldberg ensemble performing in June this year
On Friday 30 December at 7:30, the Golberg Ensemble conducted by their founder Michael Laus will perform an eclectic programme of repertoire ranging from Gershwin to Queen.
Taking place at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta, the performance will feature songs by John Lennon, David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Paul Simon and many others, promising an engaging night of well-known and uplifting music.
Formerly known as the Anon Ensemble, the Goldberg Ensemble is one of Malta’s most prominent musical groups, performing primarily Baroque music. The ensemble is comprised of a group of acclaimed musicians and a choir of 24 singers.
Michael Laus is an Associate Professor at the University of Malta and former Principal Conductor of the MPO, a position he held for 23 years.
