Get Your Chuckle on With Live Standup Comedy in Ta ‘Xbiex This April

Malta’s monthly chortle-fest at the ‘Standup At Storeroom’ comedy night continues on Tuesday 18 April at The Storeroom on Ta’ Xbiex waterfront, directly opposite Manoel Island.

Come along to enjoy an exciting line-up of local comedians, hosted by Andrew Bonello! Here’s the full lineup of performers the host will introduce during the night:

Jesus ‘Chucho’ Jimenez is new to the Maltese scene, and brings hot takes from the South American continent in spades. Here’s a guy who’ll describe the miracle, but never the saint. If you’ve ever wondered how Columbians actually view life on our sunny little rock, then look no further; Jesus will have you holding your sides and flinging arepas at his head while he explains all!

Second performer on the night is newcomer Abdullah, who hails from the land of the Pyramids. The red-hot climate of his homeland is reflected in his infectious energy, restless footwork and hundred mile-an-hour banter. A school-teacher by day, this eloquent educator waxes lyrical by night. Come watch him draw on faith, culture, national identity and so much more, in his thoroughly entertaining witticisms about life!

Dan Xuereb, host of Danhood podcast, is sure to win you over with his hilarious takes on relationships, sex, and everything in between. He’s a man who’s been called “too much”, but we know his hot takes range all the way from wrong to incorrect. He’s the lean, mean, tattooed, and most definitely therapy-needing machine – come see for yourself!

Newcomer Andrew John Sciberras might be a time-traveler from the 1950s. Or maybe he’s just a hip Maltese Gen-Z’er with turn-up jeans. You decide! Either way, you’ll find it impossible to keep a straight face as this nerd-with-a-heart-of-gold tells you his life-story. That, laced with a healthy dollop of wit, humour and self-deprecating sarcasm. Not to be missed!
