The Pastry Park, located in Sliema has just announced its brand new concept: delicious, fresh, authentic Japanese baked goods. And we couldn’t be more excited and intrigued if we tried.
Have you ever heard of Melon bread? We hadn’t either. Also referred to as melonpan, the sweet bun, which is also popular in Taiwan and China, is made with an enriched dough, covered in a thin layer of crisp cookie dough. To our surprise, the bread does not actually contain any melon but rather, got its name from its melon-like appearance.
The café offers several varieties of the bread including matcha, plain, strawberry and the like but that’s not all. They also have a Japanese curry bread version, which is just as delicious as it sounds.
Already making waves and creating stomach-rumbles nation-wide, we would definitely recommend paying The Pastry Park a visit.
