Keeping Ħamrun clean with Briiz
The local council of Ħamrun proudly announced that they will be working with Briiz to breathe new life into Ħamrun, by keeping the streets and squares clean for everyone to enjoy (safely).
Ħamrun is one of the busiest and most densely populated area in Malta, due to its growing business community and commercial establishments. Thousands of people and vehicles pass through the town everyday and considering the new developments Ħamrun has seen over the last few years, these numbers are only expected to increase.
While the local council welcomes the change moving forward, it also wants to ensure that its residents, as well as visitors, have the most enjoyable experience when roaming through the streets or relaxing in the squares. For this reason, in collaborating with cleaning company Briiz, they will be working on revitalising the three main squares of Ħamrun.
The three squares are Pjazza Kappillan Muscat, Ġnien Oreste Chircop and St Paul’s Square. Work on these areas is already underway.
Briiz will also be in charge of cleaning up specific areas where people usually gather, to bring them back to their original state. Currently, during a time where people have limited time to go out, the local council expressed the importance of keeping such environments clean and safe, especially for Ħamrun residents and business owners. With Briiz’s help, the council wishes to demonstrate its solidarity with the hardships that shop owners have faced during the pandemic, by cleaning up the facades of their establishments and washing down the pavements.
