Gee’s Jams, has long been synonymous with award winning, premium jams & marmalades produced from local, handpicked produce.
Gee’s Jams and Foodbank Lifeline Foundation are collaborating by launching a limited edition of delicious, homemade marmalade and strawberry jam, aptly named ‘H.O.P.E.’- after the Foodbank’s motto of Helping Other People Eat. Gee’s Jams has pledged to donate half of the proceeds from the sale of this H.O.P.E. range as a donation towards a fundraising campaign to support this voluntary organisation.
“Tackling hunger locally by providing balanced foodstuffs to turn into meals for hungry and vulnerable people is a noble mission which has earned my support”, Gerald Strickland, food producer behind this upmarket brand, informs us. Foodbank Lifeline Foundation Malta supplies weekly non-perishable food packages to people struggling to stay above the breadline in the short term.
“It is through innovative initiatives such as these” Trustee Jane Mizzi says, “that we are able to tackle hunger within the local community.” The charity also supports families and people who have lost their jobs during the pandemic and are struggling to gain access to benefits.
