The Chinese Garden of Serenity, located in the village of Santa Lucija, transports visitors into a space of sanctuary and intrigue that rings with authentic Chinese architecture, symbolism and philosophy. The China Cultural Centre in Malta chose this garden as the ideal space to host a photography exhibition entitled ‘Beautiful China’.

Together with the Santa Lucija Local Council, the China Cultural Centre selected a number of photographs to curate an exhibition that best captures China’s stunning beauty, vast landscapes and rich culture. Many of the photographs focus on the scenery along the Silk Road from the Gobi desert, to the tranquil scenes of Tibet, to the natural beauty of Xinjiang amongst others. It also features illustrated posters of the 12 zodiac animals that reveal each zodiac sign’s strengths and weaknesses. Each person has a zodiac sign according to their birth year and visitors can learn more about theirs through the informative illustrated posters.
