We couldn’t be more proud of San Ġiljan (also known as Saint Julian’s) player Andreas Galea, who is set to spend the next few months in Italy, after reaching an agreement to join Serie A2 side Lavange.

The 25-year-old Malta international is set to play for the Italian side during the winter season, where they will be competing in the Serie A2 Girone Nord League. The player is seen as one of the most established players in Maltese waterpolo and has been a mainstay in the San Ġiljan side, which has enjoyed ample success during the last few seasons.

“In the coming days, San Ġiljan ASC senior player Andreas Galea will be joining Italian Serie A2 team Lavagna to play in the Serie A2 Girone Nord League,” said San Ġiljan ASC in a statement.

Andreas has received several wins with the team during the last seven seasons, having won three league titles and six knock-out competitions. This is the player’s second run with a foreign club following his first run in Serbia with Dunav Novi Sad.

Wishing Andreas the best of luck!
