Chris Fearne Releases Updated Covid Restrictions
Deputy Prime Minster Chris Fearne has just made the announcement that as of the 14th of March, the mandatory rule of wearing masks in all public spaces will be lifted. The rule of making use of masks in closed spaces will still remain in place.
In his latest conference, Fearne also announced that more than 75% of the Maltese population has been vaccinated, debunking the rumour that fourth dose is in sight.
Primary contacts of fully vaccinated positive cases will not have to quarantine as of the 7th of March while from the 21st of February, the mandatory quarantine for primary contacts with an updated vaccine certificate has been altered from the seven-day quarantine to five days.
Fearne also has stated that, if the situation keeps progressing as it is, more lifting of the restrictions will be made in the next couple of weeks.
