Hibernians FC are the new champions of the BOV Premier League 2021/22 after beating Birkirkara FC 3-1 at the National Stadium on Sunday 1 May. The team needed only one point to seal the deal, but ended up walking away with yet another win. Celebrations took place at the National Stadium and later at Paola’s main square.

Birkirkara FC currently hold the fourth position with 41 points but are yet to face Hamrun Spartans who lie only one point ahead of them.
