Maltese Mini-Series Taking U.S. Streaming Service by Storm
Following the huge success of their 2017 first-feature-length film Limestone Cowboy’, the independent production house ‘Take-two’ is back to share their new mini-series with the world. ‘Merjen’, a three-part mini-series, will follow two childhood friends who eventually grew up into lovers. This attraction turns sour as domestic abuse and murder become vicious protagonists in their entangled relationship. Motherhood is also a core theme, delving into Merjen’s complicated life, her toddler Chris, and other factors which will undeniably lead to her ultimate demise.
Despite being completely in Maltese, the series will be airing among other exclusive international shows on MHz Choice, an American streaming service. With the directing of the great Abigail Mallia and the brilliant screenwriting of Carlos Debattista, ‘Merjen’ is set to be a cinematic wonder.
Apart from airing on MHz Choice, the mini-series will also premiere at Eden cinemas on the 13th of May, 2022.
