Tonight, Tuesday 26 July, world-renowned Maltese opera star Joseph Calleja will welcome legendary Spanish tenor, Plácido Domingo, for a special concert taking place at Fort Manoel

Joseph Calleja is a well-known and much-loved public figure in Malta, having arguably put the country on the opera map in recent decades following his prize-winning performance at Domingo’s Operalia competition in 1999. In celebration of his hugely successful 25-year career to date, Calleja will tonight present a performance at Malta’s Fort Manoel, featuring special guest Plácido Domingo.

Plácido Domingo is considered one of the world’s most famous and successful tenors, having performed leading roles at the most prestigious international opera houses since the 1960s, being the recipient of multiple Grammy Awards and for his appearances alongside fellow opera luminaries José Carreras and Luciano Pavarotti as part of the legendary Three Tenors performances.
