Annual Concert in Aid of Charity Back After Hiatus
Best of Rock in the Forest – 10th Anniversary Edition Concert will take place on August 26 at Chateau Buskett. The event this year will feature the top songs from prior performances held over the preceding ten years. This vast collection varies from the likes of Queen to The Beatles, Bon Jovi, and many more.
The performance is intended to benefit Dar Bjorn. The Dar Bjorn facility in Qormi currently houses 13 patients while the recently built DAR Bjorn in Ebbu can house 30 people. Residents of the Dar Bjorn residential community receive care for ALS, MS, and other neurological disorders. This fundraiser is anticipated to help relieve some of the burden placed on caregivers.
The Terry Time Trust, Dr. Klown, Assistance to Children in Care Association (ACICA), and Wateraid were just a few of the charities and NGOs that were supported by Rock in the Forest throughout the last 10 years. This year’s decision to support Dar Bjorn was partially influenced by the unexpected passing of Joe Debono in 2021. Debono was a devoted supporter of Rock in The Forest, attending every year. He even had the opportunity to perform in 2019.
