Local actor Yandrick Agius gets cast in Moulin Rouge! The Musical!, which will take place at the Piccadilly Theatre in London as from 17 October
Yandrick Agius took to Instagram to announce the exciting news personally: “thrilled, screaming, crying and pinching myself in disbelief. I’m making my professional and West End debut in the cast of @moulinmusicaluk as ensemble \ 1st cover Baby Doll from 17th of October”
The cast, to name a few, will also include Melissa James as Satine, Jamie Muscato as Christian and Matt Rixon as Harold Zidler.
The young actor even shared a video of his family and friend’s reactions, which he secretly recorded when announcing the pretty big news.
Based on the 2001 Baz Luhrmann movie of, Moulin Rouge! The Musical follows Christian, a lovesick American writer who falls for the club’s leading singer Satine. While at the Moulin Rouge, the Duke of Monroth aims to woo Satine as a last-ditch attempt to save the club.
