We think it’s safe to say that there is no Maltese local who has travelled to the beautiful island of Gozo for the weekend and not made sure to somehow fit a Mekren pizza (or ten) into his plans.

If, however, you are not Maltese, let us introduce you to arguably one of the best things that Gozo (and now Malta) has to offer.

Mekren’s Bakery is a family-run business, which specialises in local ftajjar, pizza, qassatat and bread, which many locals and tourists choose to pick up on their way to Ramla Bay in Gozo, right before sunset.

The well-known bakery has finally made it to Malta,too, and we couldn’t be happier!
