Malta completed a late comeback victory at home to Israel, when Alexander Satariano scored the team’s first goal in the 84th minute bringing them to a draw. Malta made it 2-1 two minutes later through Ferdinando Apap’s powerful header.
The game was led by Davide Mazzotta after Devis Mangia had been relieved temporarily of his duties as Head Coach earlier on in the day. Following the great result, the Premiere League will once again take centre stage this weekend.
Israel recently gained promotion to Group A in the next UEFA Nations League.
