This Thursday 6 October at 7:30pm, Valletta’s Spazju Kreattiv will once again host a screening live from London’s National Theatre, this time of Jack Absolute Flies Again, a comedy set in 1940s Britain
The UK’s National Theatre Live has proved to be an international success in recent years, bringing world-class theatre productions to cinemas around the world, filmed and broadcast live from London. Following popular recent screenings such as Straight Line Crazy, this week sees Valletta’s Spazju Kreattiv present Jack Absolute Flies Again, a comedy based on Richard Brinsley Sheridan’s The Rivals, a comedy of manners first performed in 1775.
Directed by Emily Burns and featuring a cast including Caroline Quentin, Laurie Davidson, Natalie Simpson and Kelvin Fletcher, the play follows the tumultuous romantic overtures of the main character, Jack Absolute, and his old flame Lydia Languish.
