This Saturday 8 October, 17-year-old pianist Alessia Bonici will present a unique programme of interpreted works by Chopin, Satie, Gershwin and Saint-Saëns, at Valletta’s Palazzo De La Salle

This weekend, Alessia Bonici, a young Maltese pianist on the autism spectrum will perform a diverse programme of works by famous classical and twentieth century composers. Noted for her distinct interpretative approach to performing piano works, Saturday’s concert sees Bonici collaborate with pianist Gabi Sultana, soprano Mariette Borg, baritone Miguel Rosales and composer and musician Jess Rymer.

Alessia Bonici is currently reading for her Diploma in Piano at the Malta School of Music, with additional distance education provided by London’s Trinity Laban Conservatoire. She has performed at the Manoel Theatre during the Malta Spring Festival, as well Italy’s Teatru Ebe Stignani (Imola), where she participated in the ‘I Bemolli Sono Blu’ concert.

Palazzo De La Salle, home of the Malta Society of Arts, is known for its stunning interior and regular exhibitions, as well as being a key Valletta performance venue. Its intimate and acoustically inviting hall regularly hosts music performances, album launches and other artistic events across an eclectic spectrum of events.
