Spazju Kreattiv is currently housing the adapted version of Frank Wedekind’s German classic Spring Awakening. Adrian Buckle is taking care of the production with the assistance from the Malta Arts Fund and Malta Drama Centre.

The play follows a group of young people as they mature, experience their first sexual encounters, struggle academically, and put their friendships to the test. The play was originally written and set in rural Germany in rural Germany in the nineteenth century. The award-winning playwright Brad Birch has adapted the play to assimilate Malta’s current state.
