This November, Teatru Malta and The New Victorians will join forces for an exciting and patriotic reimagining of literary giant Ninu Cremona’s Il-Fidwa tal-Bdiewa. This new work, adapated by Clare Azzopardi, features composition and direction by The New Victorians, and is presented as a multidisciplinary audio-theatre production set to live music.

Featuring an ensemble of talented performing artists, this energetic and engaging new work based on Maltese literary legend Ninu Cremona’s Il-Fidwa tal-Bdiewa (“The Farmers’ Liberation”) will be performed at the stunning historical landmark, Ximenes Redoubt in Naxxar.

Ninu Cremona (1880–1972) is one of Malta’s most enduring literary figures, and is, amongst other achievements, credited with co-founding Għaqda tal-Kittieba tal-Malti (Maltese Writers Society) and penning numerous academic and fictional works.
