Spazju Kreattiv to host event exploring work of Einstein

Tomorrow, Tuesday 15 November, Spazju Kreattiv will present a documentary film and discussion exploring the staggering implications of Einstein’s theory of general relativity, and its ongoing impacts on the scientific world today.

Einstein published the theory in Germany amidst the chaos of the World War I, prompting the UK’s Royal Society to cancel further scientific collaboration with Germans working in the field and promote the idea of Newtonian mechanics as the dominant force in physics.

Despite Einstein’s theory being over one hundred years old, this engaging event sets out to explore how it remains relevant to the modern age, as well as how it continues to challenge scientists around the world — especially in light of the proposed existence of so-called “dark matter”, which has eluded observation to this day.

This upcoming event features Prof. Joseph Caruana and Dr Alessio Magro from the University of Malta.

‘ĊineXjenza – Chasing Einstein’ takes place Tuesday 15 November at 7pm. To learn more, visit the official website.
