The public will once more have the opportunity to experience the mechanical crib until January 8 at the Jesus of Nazareth Institute in Å»ejtun. This has been in operation since 1947. This crib, the first of its kind in Malta, was Mgr. Bishop Emmanuel Galea’s idea, with Paul Pavia handling the technical details.
More than 100 different cribs of various sizes and materials will be on display during this year’s exhibition. Other items related to the Christmas period- most of which are handmade by the exhibitors themselves – such as statuettes of Baby Jesus, pictures and decorations, will also be on display.
