Crib Exhibitions Happening This Month

1. Jesus of Nazareth Institute

The public will once more have the opportunity to experience the mechanical crib until January 8 at the Jesus of Nazareth Institute in Żejtun. This has been in operation since 1947. This crib, the first of its kind in Malta, was Mgr. Bishop Emmanuel Galea’s idea, with Paul Pavia handling the technical details.

More than 100 different cribs of various sizes and materials will be on display during this year’s exhibition. Other items related to the Christmas period- most of which are handmade by the exhibitors themselves – such as statuettes of Baby Jesus, pictures and decorations, will also be on display.

2. The Saint Joseph the Worker Exhibitions Society

The Saint Joseph the Worker Exhibitions Society is hosting its annual cribs exhibition, at the Saint Joseph the Worker Parish Centre in Birkirkara every day between Thursday 8 and Wednesday 28 December, from 9am till 12pm and from 4pm till 8pm.

4. Il-Qala Tissaħħar bil-Presepji

A crib exhibition is available for viewing. This was set up by Qala Parish in association with Għaqda Armar San Ġużepp-Qala. These cribs were meticulously developed by skilled locals.
