Every year, the colourful centrepiece of the Valletta Green Festival—a huge floral carpet comprised of 80,000 potted plants—transforms Pjazza San Ġorġ into one of Valletta’s main open urban spaces.

This well-known weekend-long festival has earned a reputation as a pleasant and accessible forum for initiatives promoting environmental consciousness on the Maltese Islands. The event offers visitors a rare opportunity to explore some of the capital city’s lesser-known historical treasures, such as the 400-year-old grounds of the Archbishop’s Palace.

The event is set to take place from 3 May to 7 May 2023.
