‘MalTease’ – A Maltese Variety and Burlesque Show
Strada Stretta, Valletta’s main entertainment thoroughfare, served as the inspiration for the variety and burlesque performances dubbed ‘MalTease’! This spectacular event is coming back for a sixth time with heightened fervour.
The programme is made up of a number of performances that are only tangentially related by a story that will take you both back in time and to Malta’s heyday of cabaret.
Undine LaVerve and Spazju Kreattiv are committed to displaying the diversity and versatility of the burlesque style, which goes beyond dancing to incorporate satire, glitter, singing, lewd jokes, contagious confidence, joy, and feathers. The programme’s main devotion is to provide a forum for artists of every body type, colour, LGBTQ+ identity, age, and gender! The sixth iteration of MalTease is expected to feature locals and artists from around the world, providing the island with the biggest burlesque show possible!
