In Gozo’s majestic Cittadella, a festival of lights entitled ‘Lejl Imkebbes’ is expected to take place on Saturday, May 20 2023. More than 30,000 candles of all sizes and shapes will be used to illuminate a spectacular 360-degree image of Gozo’s hills, valleys, cities, and churches. This will create a charming, enchanted atmosphere and provide guests a clear view of Malta across the water.

Additionally, there will be a range of events throughout the evening, including historical recreations, extended and subsidised museum admissions, openings of new public attractions, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities. A range of local and foreign food stalls is also expected to illuminate Gozo’s fortified city.
