Craft Beer Tasting Session at POPP in Gżira Tonight
Tonight, November 7, POPP and Suzie Q are coming together for a niche collaborative event. Both located in Gżira, POPP is a quaint shop specialising in craft beer and cider, among other things, while Suzie Q is a charming restaurant with great cocktails and even better food.
As the fourth Tasting Session held by POPP, ‘Tasting 04 – outstanding brews and Suzie Qs’ is a unique sampling experience, perfect for enthusiasts of craft beer. At the session, POPP will be serving up to 7 distinct brews from such notable breweries as Siren Craft Brew, Arpus, Vocation, The Kernel, and Basqueland. Some of these beers haven’t even been available for purchase at the shop yet, and will be unveiled at the event before being put on shelves the next day. What’s more, every beer will come with its own matching snack, created just for it by Suzie Q.
As enticing as all of that sounds, do keep in mind that the event is aimed at those with a more refined palette, as well as a strong appreciation for some quality craft beer. If you’re looking to grab a quick cheap beer with some friends, this is probably not the event for you. Having said that, the Tasting Session will be led by their “beer guru” Robert Gatt. Entrance costs €40 and can be paid on the spot. Moreover, attendees will get a 15% discount on all purchased items purchased on the day.
To book a spot simply email hello@popp.mt. Spots are limited and will be given on a first come, first served basis. The session will be happening at POPP itself on the porch. If you have any specific dietary requirements for snacks do inform POPP before booking. Since it’s an outdoor session, the session may be postponed if there are any drastic weather changes.
