Malta Public Transport offers Special Service to participants of the President's Fun Walk

Malta Public Transport announces Special Service for the President’s Fun WalkTomorrow, Saturday November 11, is ‘Mixja mal-President’, or the ‘President’s Fun Walk’. The event is organised every year in aid of the Community Chest Fund, fostering community in the process. As announced by President George Vella last month, a walk will be held in place of the annual President’s Fun Run, in order to be more inclusive and accessible.

The walk starts at 3 pm at Verdala Palace, those who attend will pass through Sant’Anton Palace before ending their journey in front of the Presidential Palace in Valletta. To make the journey a bit more efficient  for participants, a special service is being offered by Malta Public Transport exclusively to those who are taking part in the walk. Everyone sporting the Fun Walk shirt or bib that comes with registering for the walk will receive this service without charge.

The shuttle will leave from Valletta Bay C3 and travel to Sant Anton Gardens in Attard, stopping at 6230 Vestru on the way. After that, the service will continue to Buskett’s Verdala Palace, arriving at Bus Stop 2224 Verdala. There will be shuttle service from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., with departures every 15 minutes during this period. The service will only halt at Sant Anton Palace from 2.15 pm to 3 pm, to guarantee that attendees may easily reach the event meeting points.

Route 56 will be open for business later on by Malta Public Transport after the President’s Fun Walk in Valletta ends. These additional hours are going to be operational until 6:30, 7, 7:30, and 8 pm.
