Christmas in the Park returns for another year with a sustainable edition
This festive season, Christmas in the Park is set to make a return following a successful previous instalment! Taking place in the centre of Salini Park in St. Paul’s Bay, the event promises to once again deliver in charm and merriment. However, the Ministry for the Environment, Energy, and Enterprise has taken some measures to make sure that this edition places a lot more emphasis on environmental sustainability.
Christmas in the Park, extends an invitation to everybody to embrace the festive spirit free of charge. But this is not just any old Christmas event, as the organisers have expressed a dedication to having a positive environmental impact. The town is built with sustainable materials and methods, guaranteeing a joyous yet eco-conscious celebration. What’s more, guests are urged to commute via carpooling or public transportation in order to decrease their carbon imprint.
Savour a wide variety of treats at the food stands, serving everything from local specialties to foreign cuisine. Plus, if you bring your own container, thus wasting less, you can get your food at a reduced price! Save money while being environmentally conscious! Discover a range of handcrafted ornaments at the artisanal craft stalls, and find that Christmas present you’ve been meaning to buy. This time around, the Illuminated Pathway will take guests on a captivating journey, displaying endangered animals decked with colourful lights and poignant messages of conservation. Moreover, with live music performances bound to create a festive atmosphere and bring families together, Christmas in the Park appeals to all ages. With all the interactive activities, including puppet performances, a bouncy castle, face painting, and sustainable crafts, your kids won’t be bored for a second!
During the event, informational booths from Ministry-affiliated environmental organisations will provide a thorough overview of regional environmental projects and activities. Thus, as you’re getting into the spirit of the holidays, you’ll also be more informed on what action they are taking to create a better, more improved environment.
Christmas in the Park is guaranteed to be an experience you won’t want to miss. This attraction will be open to guests from December 8 through December 17, on Monday through Friday from 4.30 pm to 8.30 pm, as well as on weekends and public holidays, from 10 am to 8.30 pm.
