Fifth edition of the Malta International Christmas Choir Festival this weekend

This weekend, prepare for what is set to be the fifth edition of the Malta International Christmas Choir Festival! Between Friday, December 1 and Sunday, December 3, various churches in Malta’s Northern Region will serve as venues for 7 distinct concerts featuring 24 choirs!

A variety of Christmas carols will be sung, along with other songs from each choir’s repertoire. In addition, a few choirs will be bringing some life to Sunday morning mass at several churches around the island, exclusively on December 3. These choirs all have their own unique qualities and hail from all over the continent! Specifically, the groups are arriving from the UK, Lithuania, Spain, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Hungary, Croatia, Estonia, and Bulgaria, and ofcourse, Malta.

Programme

On December 1, there will be concerts at the parish churches of San Ġwann and Naxxar, which begin at 7.15 pm. There will also be a concert in the Mġarr parish church at 7.45 pm. The next day, December 2, there will be concerts at the parish churches of St. Paul’s Bay at 7 pm, Burmarrad at 7.15 pm, and Qawra at 7.30 pm.
