Christmas Unveiling at Mercury Towers feat. Red Electric Tonight!

Tonight, prepare for a colourful programme of merry activities at Mercury Malta’s Unveiling Christmas event. Located in the heart of St Julian’s, Mercury has pledged to go all out for their first Christmas celebration, all leading up to the grand decoration and tree lighting ceremony!

From 6 pm onwards, indulge in some festive delicacies at the artisan food market. From panettone to porchetta, enjoy a wide selection of both sweet and savoury treats. Perhaps get yourself a comforting cup of hot chocolate or mulled wine to sip on while you explore! The market will remain open until the event closes!

Now, 7 pm is where the fun really begins. The programme is just brimming with activities for the whole family! Make sure to bring your kids (or else your inner child), as they can get their face painted, make balloons, and even receive free gifts. At the end of it all, you can make some memories with your loved ones at the festive photo booth. Up until 9 pm, you can get a photo with the big guy himself at the ‘Meet Santa’ event on the lower ground level!

From street performers to string quartets, there’s some entertainment for people of all ages. The true musical highlight, however, is an extraordinary concert by local iconic band Red Electric at 8 pm, preceded by their opening act Sarah Bonnċi at 7 pm! With their chart-topping classics, the legendary band has enthralled audiences on headline tours throughout the world. There has been a streak of success in their path from sold-out shows to international recognition! Sarah Bonniċi’s career took off when she competed in Junior Eurovision and went on to win other local and international music competitions. Her first single, “Never Ever,” recently topped local charts, peaking at number three!

At 8.30 pm, the Tree Lighting celebration will commence. Santa Claus himself will figuratively cut the ribbon on a month of festivities, by lighting up the tree and other Christmas decorations. The tree is set to be Malta’s tallest Christmas Tree, standing at 17 metres. What’s more, Radio Personality Nate from Vibe Fm will be there to compère the event!

All of this and more tonight from 6 pm to 10 pm. Admission into the event is entirely free for everyone! So, clear your plans for tonight, gather your loved ones, and make sure you don’t miss out!
