Ġebla, which is the Maltese word for “rock”, is Malta’s top indoor climbing gym. Located in Birkirkara, Ġebla is a relatively new space built by the local climbing community. The establishment offers all kinds of flexible memberships and passes – so no, you don’t need to be a committed to climbing in order to join.

However, if you’re looking to learn, Ġebla provides both individual and group coaching for those aged 16 and up, while offering a kids’ club alternative and accommodating people of all ages. Hence, on January 27, Ġebla is holding an Open Day exclusively for kids. The next day, January 28, is for people aged 16+. The open days are an opportunity for those interested to try out the climbing gym without paying (except for €4 for the shoe rental) or making any pre bookings. Attendees are advised to dress comfortably and bring a refillable water bottle. Both events will last from 9 am to 5 pm.
