For the second consecutive year the Mediterranean Conference Centre is organising Carnevale – The Grandmaster’s Ball. Marking a celebration of culture, tradition, and opulence, the Grandmaster’s Ball is set against the backdrop of the historical Mediterranean Conference Centre, a venue renowned for its grandeur and architectural splendour. Attendees can expect a night of refined entertainment, exquisite cuisine, and a lively ambiance that captures the spirit of the Maltese Baroque Carnival.

 This year’s edition of the Ball will take place on Saturday 10 February from 19:00 onwards and is set to bring together an evening of unparalleled extravagance and sophistication, with live performances by top local artists and a seated 4 course lavish dinner complimented by superior wines and followed by an after dinner ball with live entertainment. The theme for this year’s carnival ball is a blend of Baroque elegance and contemporary flair, promising a visually stunning spectacle that transports guests to a world of timeless sophistication.

The Grandmaster’s Ball aims to pay homage to Malta’s rich history and cultural heritage, while providing an unforgettable experience for all attendees. The evening will kick off with a glamorous red carpet entrance, where guests will be welcomed by Prosecco and a fine selection of canapés together with live performances, leading to the dining area, which will be purposely setup for the occasion.

The evening will be complemented by an exquisite dining experience curated by renowned chefs, featuring a culinary journey that reflects the diversity of Maltese and Mediterranean flavours, followed by the actual ball, as guests become immersed into a magical world with harlequins and minstrels, dancers, acrobats, musicians, all in magnificent costumes and alluring masks. 

The menu promises to tantalise the taste buds of even the most discerning connoisseurs, with a carefully crafted selection of dishes. To add to the allure of the night, the Grandmaster’s Ball will feature a lineup of captivating entertainment, including live music performances which will extend into the early hours of the night. 

Guests dressed in elaborate and colourful costumes are invited to join in the Minuet, a delightful and elegant social dance that adds a touch of sophistication to the festive atmosphere. For all those interested in joining in, the MCC will be offering Minuet Dance Classes for free for all paying patrons on Saturday 3 February at 16:00.  All those interested can contact the MCC on the numbers below to book their place.
