At 11, she snagged a spot at the Malta Football Association Academy in Valletta, hopping on the ferry daily from Gozo to Malta.

After wrapping up at the National Sport School in Malta, Farrugia jetted off to the UK. There, she fine-tuned her skills with Sunderland AFC’s Foundation of Light. Fast forward to 2019, she officially joined Sunderland AFC Ladies, making her debut in the Northern Premier Division in mid-February.

Showing her dedication, Farrugia inked a one-year extension with Sunderland in July 2021. She even snagged the FA Women’s Championship Player of the Week title in the first week of the 2021–22 season.

Following her stint with Sunderland, Farrugia kicked off a new chapter with Durham. Then, in 2023, she made a big move to Lewes FC Women, where she continues to light up the pitch with her unmatched passion and determination.
