A Theatrical Exploration of Mosta's World War II Miracle This April

Diary of War: The Miracle of Mosta will be bringing the events of World War II to life on April 12 and 13 at 8pm

Embark on an extraordinary journey through time to the year 1942 and revisit  the moment when a World War II bomb pierced the iconic dome of the Mosta Rotunda but miraculously failed to detonate, saving the lives of approximately 300 people. Against the backdrop of wartime Malta, where Mosta overflowed with refugees seeking sanctuary from neighbouring areas, attendees will be transported to the heart of history.

Diary of War: The Miracle of Mosta offers a site-specific adventure that combines theatre, history, and live music in an unparalleled experience. Praised as ‘absolutely brilliant’ and ‘excellent didactic theatre’, this multidisciplinary tour engages the senses and delves into the narrative beyond mere facts.

Guided by accredited tour guide and theatre practitioner, Jeremy Grech, participants will explore the underground shelters beneath the Mosta Dome’s grounds while learning about the events leading to the church’s bombing. Accompanied by haunting melodies and cinematic sounds, Grech’s performance seamlessly intertwines with the journey, building to a climax at the church grounds.

Due to the limited availability, advance booking is recommended. Spots for the tour may be booked by sending an e-mail to hello@houseoftours.eu.
