21-year-old Maltese kickboxing and Muay Thai sensation Leeon Montanaro clinched a significant victory at Messina’s Fight Night Showdown on 28 July 2024. Montanaro emerged victorious against Sicilian opponent Salvo Cubeda in a K1 rules match, winning by unanimous decision.

The event, sanctioned by WBC Muay Thai and organised by Goldenfighter Promotion, showcased a series of high-caliber matches featuring athletes from the Netherlands, Spain, Malta, Italy, Portugal, and Morocco. Representing Sliema Fight Co and managed by Conditioned Athlete Management, Montanaro competed in the prestigious Gala night.

His match was a highlight on the main card, which also included numerous other high-profile bouts, such as the WBC Muay Thai European Under-18 Championship.
