International Phenomenal Irish Dance Show Gaelforce Dance to Debut in Malta This December
For the first time ever, the internationally renowned Irish dance show Gaelforce Dance will be performing in Malta at the prestigious Mediterranean Conference Centre. The show will run for one performance on 7 December and two performances on December 8.
Described by the Evening Herald as “the Ferrari of the Irish dance world”, Gaelforce Dance is an electrifying two-hour production that has captivated audiences globally, bringing over one million people to their feet. Since its inception in 1999, this spectacular celebration of Irish dance, music, and song has toured more than 30 countries across four continents, thrilling over two million spectators.
The story of Gaelforce Dance follows the passionate and tragic tale of two lovers, Lorcan and Aisling, whose forbidden romance tears apart their community and sparks deep familial strife. A chance encounter ignites the ill-fated affair, leading to jealousy, broken loyalties, and a devastating feud between two brothers. In the aftermath of tragedy, reconciliation finally emerges.
Produced by Michael Durkan and choreographed by Richard Griffin, the show is celebrated for its intricate choreography, powerful rhythms, and engaging narrative. These innovative elements earned Gaelforce Dance the prestigious ‘Limelight Award’ for Best Dance Spectacular in 2010, cementing its place as a leader in the world of Irish dance performances.
