Celebrate Local Creativity at the Nice Things Market Christmas Edition 2024

The festive season is just around the corner, and this year’s Christmas edition of Nice Things Market is set to be the biggest yet! Organised by il-lokal, a shop in Valletta that showcases products by Maltese and Malta-based makers, the market will take place on Saturday, 30 November and Sunday, 1 December at the stunning Magazino Hall, Valletta Waterfront. Doors open from 10:00 to 18:00hrs for two full days of local talent, creativity, and sustainable craftsmanship.

The market will feature over 50 stalls, offering a diverse range of handmade products, including homewares, art prints, stationery, jewellery, accessories, and artisanal foods. Each vendor has been carefully selected to reflect the core values of the market: supporting local makers, craftsmanship, and sustainability. This is a unique opportunity for visitors to discover products that are not only beautifully made but also ethically produced, ensuring a low environmental impact.

Held in the iconic Magazino Hall, a space rich in history and character, visitors will enjoy shopping beneath the venue’s impressive arched ceiling. The adjoining outdoor courtyard will host a bar, café, and food trucks, providing a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy alongside the artisanal market experience.

“We’re proud to bring together such a vibrant community of local makers and artists through the Nice Things Market,” said the team at il-lokal. “Our goal is to highlight the importance of craftsmanship and sustainability while offering people the chance to shop small and support local businesses during the holiday season. It’s all about making mindful, meaningful choices.”

Shop Small, Do Good this holiday season by supporting local artists, makers, and brands at the Nice Things Market. Each purchase not only brings a unique, handcrafted piece into your home but also helps sustain Malta’s vibrant creative community.
