Summer Hits Different, Malta’s Ultimate 2025 Music Festival Line-Up

Summer in Malta is more than sunshine and sea, it’s a full-blown celebration of music, culture and unforgettable nights. From massive international festivals to community-led concerts with big names, the island is alive with world-class acts from May through August. From raving under the stars to discovering new artists or enjoying live music in a charming village square, Malta’s music calendar is bursting with reasons to stay out late.

Isle of MTV Malta & Music Week (July, TBC)

One of Europe’s largest free music festivals, Isle of MTV Malta, is heading back this July at the Granaries in Floriana. Previous headliners include David Guetta, RAYE, Martin Garrix and DJ Snake, and this year’s announcement is expected any day. The main concert draws thousands from across Europe and kicks off Isle of MTV Music Week, which runs with events at top venues like Gianpula, Toyroom and Café del Mar.

Summer Daze Malta (15–18 August)

Held at the Ta’ Qali Picnic Area, Summer Daze is all about high-energy acts and good-time vibes. Since 2018, it’s welcomed everyone from the Black Eyed Peas to Jason Derulo and D-Block Europe. The 2025 edition is set to be announced, and the line-up will hopefully be revealed soon.

Glitch Festival (13–16 August)

From 13 to 16 August, Gianpula Village transforms into an electronic music haven for the Glitch Festival. A favourite among techno and house fans, it’s hosted names like Carl Cox, Amelie Lens, and Bicep. Expect rooftop pool parties by day and open-air raving by night. Glitch has a loyal international following, and 2025 promises to be no different.

World Club Dome – Island Edition (1–2 August)

Back for its third year, World Club Dome will fill Gianpula with big beats and serious visuals on 1 and 2 August. Previous line-ups included Steve Aoki, Dimitri Vegas, and Like Mike, and this summer’s roster features superstars like Benny Benassi, Argy, and Afrojack.

Earth Garden (5– 8 June)

Ta’ Qali National Park hosts Earth Garden, Malta’s leading alternative music festival. With multiple stages, camping, healing areas, and food markets, the vibe is colourful, conscious and community-led. Expect live bands, reggae, psytrance, techno and everything in between. This is where music meets mindfulness. So far the line-up features Rudiemental, Fun Lovin’ Criminals and Bassment Jaxx.

Ħal Għaxaq Music Festival (17–18 July)

Set in the heart of a traditional Maltese village, the Ħal Għaxaq Music Festival brings top-tier pop acts to a charming, open-air setting. This year, the festival kicks off on 17 July with Italian blues-rock legend Zucchero, known for hits like “Senza Una Donna” and “Baila (Sexy Thing)”, performing as part of his Overdose D’Amore World Tour. The following night, 18 July, will feature the Grammy Award-winning Gipsy Kings by Diego Baliardo, bringing their iconic flamenco, rumba, salsa and pop fusion to the stage. With over 20 million albums sold worldwide, their performance is part of the “Back to the Origins” tour celebrating their 40-year legacy.
