Fan favourite Francesco, best known for his memorable run on MasterChef, has opened a brand-new sandwich shop, Ħmira, in the heart of San Ġwann.

Francesco’s elimination, which came after a high-stakes dessert challenge, stirred controversy among fans, many of whom questioned the fairness of the format. Despite his early exit, Francesco left a strong impression with his sweet personality and unmatched sense of humour.

He quickly became one of the most talked-about contestants, winning hearts across Malta and Gozo.

Now, Francesco is turning his passion for food into a new venture; a welcoming sandwich shop that celebrates bold flavours and heartfelt cooking. Originally from Xagħra, Gozo, Francesco draws on his background and experience on MasterChef to craft a menu full of personality, fresh ingredients, and local character.

The shop is already generating buzz, with locals eager to support the much-loved chef and sample his latest culinary creations.
