Malta's Electrifying Live Music Experience is Back This November

Rockwired storms into the  Mediterranean Conference Centre on 29 and 30 November, transforming one of the island’s most iconic cultural landmarks into a cathedral of sound. This is not just another concert, t’s a night where classic rock anthems, nu metal power, and alternative favourites collide with orchestral force, choral energy, and an audience that’s part of the show.

Presented by Scrolls Productions, fresh from the success of Skyfall Live in Concert, Rockwired ’25 is a not-for-profit celebration of music, community, and creativity. It’s a chance to relive the music that defined generations.

Hosted by actor Stephen Oliver, Rockwired features original orchestral arrangements of some of the greatest rock hits of all time, performed by an 80-voice rock choir, the Palace String Orchestra, and a 30-piece live rock band. Taking the stage is a powerhouse lineup of Malta’s most beloved performers, including Klinsmann, Moira Stafrace, Chris Grech, Neville Refalo, Gaia, Nicole Frendo, Andre Portelli, Dion Farrell, Daryl Ebejer, Natassja Chapman, Talitha Dimech, Rachel Grech, and many more, joined by new talent stepping into the spotlight after earning their place through open auditions held among the choir members themselves.

“Rockwired is about taking our audience on a journey and making them feel as though they’re the ones on stage,” says Artistic Director Stefania Grech Vella. “It’s a night to grab your closest friends, step away from your phone, and rekindle memories from the 80s, 90s, and 00s, to dress up, let loose, sing your heart out, and feel completely at ease like the good old days.”

Fueling this sonic spectacle is a powerhouse band featuring Luke Grech, Melchior Busuttil, Daniel Micallef, John Cutajar, David Ciantar, all under the musical direction of Ryan Paul Abela.

Running for approximately two and a half hours (including a 30-minute interval), Rockwired ’25 promises symphonic rock fusion iconic tracks spanning rock’s most influential eras, from the anthems of Queen and Guns N’ Roses to the grit of Linkin Park and the raw energy of Limp Bizkit, all brought to life with orchestrations by Ryan Paul Abela, choral arrangements by Sarah Salafia, and choir direction by Claire McCartin.

“Rockwired is the kind of concert that stays with you,” says Musical Director Ryan Paul Abela. “It’s about the music we love, played with passion and heart, and shared with an audience that’s part of the journey. Those two nights will be something truly special and memorable for everyone at MCC.”

Beyond the music, Rockwired is also about making a difference. €5 from every ticket sold will go to the Malta Community Chest Fund, with the remaining proceeds covering production costs, and supported by Rock ’N Malta, this is a not-for-profit production created to deliver a world class music experience with a lasting impact.
