A Cooler Weekend Ahead in Malta, With a Chance of Showers
A cooler weekend is on the cards for Malta, with isolated showers, lower temperatures and no major storms forecast as summer begins to loosen its grip.
Malta’s summer is showing the first signs of winding down, with cooler temperatures and a few isolated showers forecast for the weekend.
According to the Met Office, isolated rain showers are expected overnight on Saturday and Sunday, but there’s no need to rewrite your weekend plans just yet. No thunderstorms or heavy rain are currently forecast.
Daytime temperatures are expected to dip to around 30°C, with overnight lows of around 23°C, making for slightly more comfortable conditions for exploring the islands.
A few more isolated showers could make an appearance on Monday and Tuesday, while temperatures are expected to stay around the same levels. By Wednesday, the mercury is forecast to drop further to around 28°C.
So, if you’re heading out, a light layer or compact umbrella might be worth adding to your bag, just in case Malta’s sunshine decides to take a short break.
