The Malta Book Festival is an opportunity to develop the basic skills related to the appreciation of books and familiarising oneself with local publishers.

Due to the festival being held online this year, the National Book Council will be capitalising on the opportunity to facilitate the local publishing industry’s transition into the online retail sphere.

Maltese publishers’ online shops are up and running and books are available for purchase in an accessible and easy way, via smartphone apps or websites. The NBC, as well as all the virtual exhibitors of this year’s festival are sure to provide audiences with an online holistic experience, made of books, literature and reading.

A book voucher is normally allocated to each and every student registering to participate in the festival. This year, the Council will be increasing the usual €3 book voucher to €5 and it will be emailed to each and every student participating in the festival. The voucher is redeemable from all online stores of the Festival exhibitors and publishers.

The Malta Book Festival (Virtual Edition) is taking place between 11 and 15 November.
